Kamat Madhuvan

Kamat Madhuvan is located on Ooty Road in Mysore. We are right near the Gun House and just next to the Piaggio showroom in the Nazarbad area. It’s a pretty easy spot to find if you are driving toward the palace or heading out toward the hills. We have been here at this location for years, and the neighborhood has changed a lot around us. There’s more traffic now and more shops nearby than there used to be. Our place has a lot of open space which is nice when the Mysore weather is good. We see a lot of tourists who are visiting the sights, and also locals who just want a meal. The building has that older feel to it, with thick walls and high ceilings in some parts. We don't have a big corporate team running things. It’s just us, the staff, and the owners who are around most days. Sometimes we have to fix a leak or paint a wall, but that’s part of keeping an old place going. We don’t make a big deal out of it. People come here because they like the location and they know what to expect. It’s a simple, honest place to stop by. We just focus on getting the food out and making sure people have a place to sit. Nazarbad is a good area to be in, and we're happy to stay here for now.
