Sakura Japanese School

Started this place in Gokulam 3rd Stage. It's on 8th Main, number 925. We mostly focus on Japanese. It’s a quiet part of Mysore. Sometimes the classes get full, other times it's just a few students sitting around the table. The desks aren't fancy, but they do the job. My friend helped me get the signs up. We spend a lot of time on grammar and writing characters. People in the neighborhood know us. It’s not a huge building. We have some books from Japan and a small whiteboard. Learning a new language takes time, and we just try to keep at it every day. The tea is usually hot. Students come after work or college. It gets a bit noisy when everyone tries to speak at once. We’re right near the corner, easy to find if you know the landmark. It's been a few years since we opened. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the language and want to show others. The floor gets dusty with all the people coming in and out, but that's how it goes. We just open the doors in the morning and see who shows up. It's a simple life here in Mysore. We don't do much advertising, mostly just folks telling their friends about the Japanese classes. It works for us and the people who come here.
