Pavan Rice Co

We've been running Pavan Rice Co from this spot at 11-523/1 in the 4th Stage of Kuvempu Nagar for a good while now. Most days start pretty early when the sun is just coming up and the air is still a bit cool. We get the shutters open and start moving things around so people can see what we have. This part of Kuvempu Nagar stays busy, especially with all the houses nearby. If you walk past, you'll probably see us hauling bags or just sitting by the door when it’s quiet. Dealing with rice isn't complicated, but it is heavy work. We keep the floor swept, though dust from the bags always finds a way back in. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time turning on our street, which causes a bit of a stir with the neighbors. We try to keep things organized but it gets messy when multiple people show up at once. It's just a regular shop where we do our work and go home. People around here know the address well enough. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s mostly just stacks of bags and a heavy weighing scale that’s seen better days. My cousin helps out when it gets really packed on the weekends. We just keep doing what we do every day, making sure the orders are right and the bags are tied tight. That’s about it for our little corner in the 4th Stage.
