We are located over at 87-2 in the Kiadb Industrial Area. It’s right there in Gejjalagere, near Maddur. Being in an industrial zone means it is mostly factories around us. We spend our days dealing with sugar production. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and keeping an eye on the machinery. The place isn't anything special to look at, just a big industrial building where the work gets done. Most of us have been working here in Maddur for quite some time. The commute isn't too bad if you live close by. We start early in the morning and sometimes stay late if the machines act up. That happens more than we’d like, but we fix it and move on. There’s always sugar dust on everything, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the nature of the business. We get trucks coming in and out all day long. It can get a bit hectic at the loading docks. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us doing the daily grind. We know the routines by heart now. When the season is in full swing, the whole area smells like crushed cane. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know. We just focus on getting the product out to where it's supposed to go. Nothing more to it than that. We just keep our heads down and work. It's what pays the bills.
