Nesara Farmers Market is located at No. 1137/A on Geeta Road. If you are looking for us, we’re in Chamarajapuram, right behind the Mahesh Prasad Hotel near Ballal Circle. It’s a good spot because everyone knows the hotel. We get going really early in the morning, usually before the sun is even up. That’s when the crates start arriving from the farms. It’s noisy and a bit messy, with vegetable leaves on the floor and people shouting out prices. We wanted a place where the food felt real, not like the stuff wrapped in plastic at the big supermarkets. The building is simple, just an open space where we can stack the produce. We spend a lot of time talking to the farmers who drive in and the people from the neighborhood who come by for their daily greens. It gets crowded around mid-morning, and the air smells like fresh coriander and damp earth. We don’t have fancy price tags or shopping carts. You just pick what you want and we weigh it out. Sometimes we run out of things early, and that’s just how it goes with fresh stuff. The staff is mostly just local folks who know their way around a tomato. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and early starts, but we like being part of the community here behind the hotel. It feels like an honest way to spend the day. We stay until the last crate is empty.
