We are the folks behind Phariha Farmer Producer Company Limited. You can find us over in Village Etahari, near the Phariha post office. Jagdish is the one who mainly handles the organizing from his place in the village. We are all farmers first and foremost. This company was only started because it was getting too hard to manage everything as individuals. We were all facing the same problems with the high cost of supplies and the low prices at the market. By coming together, we feel like we have a bit more weight behind our name. We don't have a polished image or a big corporate office. Our "office" is usually just a porch or a spot under a big tree where we can sit and talk. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone. We just know about the land and how to grow things. Most of us have been doing this since we were children. It’s hard, dusty work and your back usually hurts by the end of the day. We share our knowledge and whatever tools we have to make the job a little easier for everyone. It’s not about getting rich, it’s just about being able to keep farming. We focus on the daily stuff that needs doing, like fixing fences or checking the irrigation. We are just a local group looking out for each other.
