Holy Mary International School

Holy Mary International School is out in Bhoop Bhairo, which is a bit of a way into Sitamarhi. You have to travel down some local roads to get to us, and it can get a bit bumpy depending on the season. The school itself is a large building surrounded by a lot of open space, which is nice because there isn't much noise from the main roads. We have a front gate where the watchman sits and greets the families coming in. The classrooms are basic, filled with rows of benches and blackboards. We don’t have air conditioning or anything like that, just ceiling fans that hum all day long. During the rainy season, the ground gets soft and we have to tell the kids to stay off the grass so they don't ruin their shoes. Our staff comes from all over the local area, some riding bikes and others taking the bus. We have a small library with some old books that the kids seem to enjoy looking through. It's a simple setup. There are no fancy brochures or big marketing teams here, just a group of people trying to keep things running smoothly. The kids are loud, the teachers are busy, and the day goes by fast. By the time evening rolls around, the building is empty and the wind blows across the open fields nearby.
