Jakir Hossain B Ed College

The college is out in Miapur, right on the Jangipur Miapur Road in Murshidabad. If you are heading that way, you will see us easily enough. It’s a B Ed college, so the people here are mostly focused on their teacher training. We spend a lot of time in the classrooms going over the different methods and theories. The building itself is pretty simple, nothing fancy to look at, just a solid place to get work done. In the summer, it gets quite warm, so we keep the fans going all day. There is a small yard where students stand around during the breaks to talk. Most of the people who come here are from the local area or the villages nearby. You see the same faces every day, which is nice. We have a library with the necessary books, and the desks are the usual wooden ones. It’s a bit of a quiet spot, except for when the classes let out. We don’t really do any big marketing or anything like that. We just have our schedule and we stick to it. The road outside can get a bit noisy with the trucks passing through Murshidabad, but inside we just keep to the lessons. It is a practical place for anyone looking to finish their degree. We have been here for a good while and the neighbors know us. It’s just a normal part of the local landscape in Miapur.
