Gitanjali B.Ed. College

Gitanjali B.Ed. College is situated out in Narasinghapur village, which is near Sagarpara in the Jalangi area. It’s quite a way out from the main town of Baharampur, so it’s very peaceful and quiet around here. Most of the people who come to our college are local folks from West Bengal who want to become teachers. We have a simple campus with a few buildings and some open space. Life here moves a bit slower than in the city. I usually arrive early to open the gates and see the students coming in from the nearby villages, some on bicycles and some by bus. We don't have any of those high-tech facilities you hear about, just normal classrooms with blackboards and benches. We focus on the training because that's what matters for someone going into a school. The area around Jalangi is mostly farmland, so it’s a nice environment to study in, away from all the distractions. Sometimes we have issues with the rain making the roads a bit messy, but we all manage to get here anyway. The staff is like a small family because we’ve all been here for a long time. We just do our jobs, help the students with their practicals, and make sure they're ready for their exams. It’s a very straightforward place, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We just keep our heads down and do our daily work.
