Zest Ad Shop

Zest Ad Shop is tucked away on the ground floor of the Bhagirathi Building in Lower Parel. We are right across from the Kewal Industrial Estate, which keeps this whole street pretty busy with trucks and workers moving around. Inside the shop, we usually have a lot of half-finished signs and scraps of vinyl laying around. It’s a bit of a creative mess. We make various types of signs and displays for people in the area. Most of the time, I’m either on the computer designing something or out back with the cutters. It’s not a polished studio by any means. There’s usually some dust and the floor is often covered in offcuts. We get a lot of business from the surrounding industrial estates because they always need something printed or a new board put up for their gates. I’ve been doing this for a while and I enjoy the physical part of the work—actually putting things together with my hands. It’s a small team here, just a few of us trying to keep up with the orders that come in. We don’t have a fancy website or anything like that. People just see our work or get our name from someone else who has been here. It’s a straightforward shop where we do our best to get the signs made right. We keep at it until the work is done and ready for pick-up.
