Zain Eye Clinic

Zain Eye Clinic is located at 137 Sarang Street. We actually have space on both the first and fourth floors, which keeps us moving back and forth quite a bit during the day. Sarang Street is a very old and busy part of the city, so there’s always a lot of shouting and horns honking outside. It can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. I’ve been here for years, so I don't even hear it anymore. We focus on eyes, obviously. People come in when they can’t see the television clearly or when their eyes are feeling tired. Having the two different floors helps us keep the different parts of the clinic separate. The first floor is usually where people walk in, and the fourth floor is for the more involved stuff. The stairs are good for exercise, but the lift is there if anyone needs it. It’s an old building, so it has a lot of personality. Some of the floor tiles are a bit worn down from all the feet walking over them, but it’s a clean and functional space. I enjoy the view from the fourth floor windows when I have a minute to breathe. You can see all the roofs of the other shops on Sarang Street. It’s a lot of hard work keeping things running on two floors, but it’s what we do. We just keep our heads down and help folks see better. It keeps us busy.
