Yashoda Clinic

Our clinic is right by the Curry Road railway station in Parel. We are in shop number 11 at Jamshedji Tandawle Chawl. It’s a very busy spot because of all the trains coming and going. You can actually hear the announcements from the station platform if the front door is left open. We’ve been here in this chawl for many years. It’s a humble place, just a single room basically, but it serves its purpose. We see a lot of people who are just passing through on their way to work or who live in the local area. It gets very crowded during the morning and evening peak hours when the trains are full. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just some wooden benches outside and a few chairs inside. It’s a practical setup for this part of the city. We know most of the local tea sellers and the regular commuters who walk past every day. Life moves very fast at Curry Road, but we try to take our time with everyone who walks through the door. It’s not always easy with the constant noise of the station and the heat, but we make it work. We are just a local clinic serving the people around the station and the chawls. We stay open late most nights because that's when people are coming home from their jobs.
