Vikram Granite

We’ve been here at 403 Duncan Road for a long time now. If you know Mumbai, you know this area is always moving and shaking. It’s crowded and loud most of the time, but that’s just how it is in this part of the city. Our shop is right in the middle of all that activity. We deal with granite, so our days are mostly spent moving heavy slabs and talking to contractors who come in. It’s a family-run kind of place. My father started it and now we just keep things going day by day. We don’t have a website that looks like a glossy magazine. We just have our shop and our samples that you can touch and see in person. Sometimes it’s hard to find space on the sidewalk because of all the stone being moved, but we try to keep it as tidy as possible. The neighborhood is full of small businesses just like ours. We all know each other by name. If we need a hand moving something really big, the neighbors usually step in to help out. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just granite. You see it, you like it, we figure out how to get it to your site. It’s simple and it works for everyone involved. We open up early and stay until the last customer leaves, then we do it all again tomorrow.
