If you come looking for Vigneshwara Export, you’ll find us in the C.G.S. Colony in Antophill. We are up on the 15th floor, flat 1503 in Block 168. It’s a residential area, so it doesn't look like a big business hub at first glance. Working out of Mumbai means space is always tight, but we’ve made it work for us here in Sector 5. Punit Pandey handles a lot of the day-to-day stuff. Most of our time is spent looking at shipping manifests and talking to folks overseas. The view from the window is mostly other buildings, but on clear days you can see a fair bit of the city. We handle different kinds of exports. It involves a lot of back-and-forth emails and phone calls that start early and end late because of the time zones. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small team in a flat, surrounded by folders and stacks of paper. The elevator in the building can be slow sometimes, which is a bit of a nuisance when we're in a hurry. We just focus on getting the goods from point A to point B. It’s practical work. No one wears suits here unless there's a very special reason. We just wear what's comfortable and get on with the export business. Antophill is a busy place, and we are just one small part of the noise and energy of Mumbai. It gets loud, but we like the spot.
