Urvashi Granite & Marble

If you’re driving down the Western Express Highway in Dahisar East, you’ll probably see Urvashi Granite & Marble. We are right at Ovari Pada, which is directly opposite the Gokul Anand Hotel. Being on the highway means it’s always loud with trucks and cars passing by, but it makes it very easy for our own transport to get in and out. The yard is usually full of slabs leaned up against each other. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes if you don't know your way around. We don't have a big glossy office or anything like that. We just have a small space where we sit and talk to customers. Working with marble and granite is a tough job and your hands get rough from the stone. We don't try to hide that. It’s a real business with real people working hard. A lot of the time we are out in the yard showing someone the difference between two types of stone. We tell them the truth about which one stains and which one is tougher. We don't use any scripts or marketing talk. We just tell you what we know from years of handling this stuff. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit messy in the yard, but we keep working through it. People appreciate that we don't give them a lot of fluff. We just sell stone and try to do it right.
