Our place is in Ghatkopar, specifically units 501 and 502. It’s a bit of a walk up if the elevator is acting up, which happens sometimes in these older buildings. We mostly deal with tiles of all kinds. The office is usually stacked with samples of ceramic and stone. It feels a bit like a warehouse sometimes because of all the weight on the floor. Tiles are heavy, and moving them around for customers to see is a real workout for the guys. We spend our days talking to contractors and people fixing up their bathrooms or kitchens. There’s always someone asking about grout colors or patterns. We don't have a big marketing department. It’s just us here. We keep a ledger for the orders and try to stay organized, though the desk gets covered in dust from the stone samples pretty fast. Ghatkopar is a busy area, so there’s always noise from the street coming up to the fifth floor. We’ve got a small kettle in the corner for when we need a break. Most of the time, we’re just checking stock levels or calling the factory to see where a specific batch is. It’s a lot of logistical stuff that people don’t really see when they look at a finished floor. We just want to make sure that when someone buys tiles, they get enough to finish the job. There’s nothing worse than running out of tiles when you’re halfway through a room. We try to help people avoid that mistake.
