Times Classifieds is based over in Chavri Galli, inside the Sampatrao Colony. Our office is in a building called Hari Niwas. We spend most of our time helping people put their ads into the papers. Whether it’s for a job vacancy, a house for rent, or even those small notices people need for legal reasons, we handle the details. It’s a quiet sort of work compared to the big markets nearby. We have our computers and our notebooks where we track everything carefully. People come in with handwritten notes on scraps of paper, and we have to make sure they are typed up correctly for the newspapers. Being in Sampatrao Colony is nice because it’s a bit more relaxed than the main roads. We’ve been at Hari Niwas for quite a while now. Most of our customers are locals who know where we are without looking at a map. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy outside. It’s just a regular office where we do our work. Sometimes it takes a lot of time to get the wording right for an ad, and we sit with the customers to figure it out together. We aren't part of some giant corporation. We just provide a service that people in the neighborhood really need. It feels good when someone finds a tenant or a job through an ad we helped them place. It’s just a small part of the daily life here in Chavri Galli. We stay open till late most days to make sure we catch everyone.
