The Rocks India

We are tucked away on the 10th floor of Navjeen Society Building Number 3. Lamington Road is usually famous for electronics, but we are here doing something different. Offices 20 and 21 are where we keep our samples and do our billing. It’s a bit of a trek up the elevator, but the view of the city is alright from up here. The Rocks India is what we call ourselves. We deal with various stones and materials for building projects. It’s a small office, mostly filled with small pieces of granite or marble that people can look at. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to sites and quarries. It’s a high-energy area. Outside on the street, it’s constant noise and horns. Inside, we try to keep it a bit more peaceful so we can think. We aren't a big corporation. It's just a few of us making sure orders get delivered to the right places. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, which makes carrying samples a bit of a workout. We’ve been in this building for a few years now. Most of our clients are builders or people fixing up their own flats. We don't have a fancy showroom floor, just our desks and our stone samples. It works for us and it seems to work for the people we help out. We just focus on getting the right stone to the right place. It's not a complicated business, but it requires a lot of attention.
