The Gourmet Food Company

The Gourmet Food Company is on the ground floor of the Prudential Building. This is Plot No. 10 on Central Ave in Powai. If you know Hiranandani Gardens, you know it’s a pretty busy and well-kept area. We are right there where all the action is. Even though the name sounds a bit fancy, we are just regular people working with food. Being on the ground floor is lucky because we don’t have to deal with elevators when moving stuff in. Central Ave is always full of cars and people walking to their offices. We see a lot of the same faces every morning. The Prudential Building is a solid place to be based. Inside our space, it’s mostly just shelves and worktables. We spend the day organizing things and making sure the orders are correct. It’s a lot of checking labels and temperatures. Powai has a specific vibe, very fast-paced, but we try to keep our heads down and just do the work. It’s not like those movies where everything is perfect. Sometimes a fridge acts up or a delivery is late. We just fix it and keep going. Hiranandani Gardens is a nice backdrop, though. It’s better than being stuck in an industrial park somewhere far away. We like being part of the neighborhood, even if we’re just another shop on the street. It’s just how we do things here.
