If you go to Hamam House on Ambalal Doshi Marg, you will find us on the fifth floor. We are in the Fort area, which is always bustling. The Amalgamated Press has been around for a long time, and this office reflects that. It is not one of those modern, sleek places. We have old wooden desks and piles of paper that seem to never go away. The elevators in the building can be a bit slow, but they get you to the fifth floor eventually. Working in Fort means we are right in the middle of everything. You can hear the city outside the windows all day. We do a lot of printing and publishing work here. It is a lot of proofreading, checking layouts, and making sure the presses are doing what they should. It is not always glamorous. Sometimes the ink gets everywhere, or a deadline feels a bit tight. We have a small team, and most of us have been here for years. We know the routines. We do not have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on the projects we have on our desks. People come to us because we have been here forever and they know where to find us. It is a reliable spot. We just keep our heads down and get the printing done. If you stop by, you will probably find us sorting through proofs or talking about a layout for some book or magazine.
