Our place is right in the middle of Mumbai Bazar. If you know the market, you know how loud and crowded it can get on any given day. We are just one small corner among many other shops. We sell various snacks and small items that people can eat while they do their daily shopping. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the crowds, especially on the weekends when everyone is out. We have to be quick with the orders because no one wants to wait very long in this heat. We start our day before the market even fully opens, getting everything ready and organized. The shelves are packed with whatever we’ve made fresh that morning in our kitchen. It’s not a fancy shop by any means, just a practical one with old counters and a lot of history behind it. We’ve seen the market change a lot over the years, but we’re still here in our same little spot. We know the regular shoppers and the other vendors who work nearby. Sometimes we trade our snacks for other things from their stalls. It's a very busy life, and your feet really hurt at the end of a long day, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep our heads down and keep serving the customers who come through. If you're lost in the maze of the bazar, you'll eventually find us if you keep walking. We don't have a big sign, but the smell of the food usually leads people to us.
