We are tucked away in F-5 of the Nandjyot Industrial Estate. It’s right off the Andheri Kurla Road in Andheri East, which anyone who lives in Mumbai knows is a very busy stretch of road. The traffic can be a nightmare sometimes, but being in such a central industrial spot has its benefits. We make food products here, and our unit is always smelling like whatever we’re cooking or processing that day. It’s a compact space, so we have to stay very organized to make sure we don't trip over each other. The Nandjyot Industrial Estate is full of other small businesses like ours, so there’s a real sense of being in a hub of activity. We don't have any polished reception area or fancy decorations. It’s all about the production floor and the storage racks. Most of our time is spent checking quality and making sure the batches are right. Andheri East is a tough place to work because of the heat and the crowds, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it. We just do our own thing and try to get the orders out on time. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment needs to go, but that’s just how it is. We aren't a big corporation, just a dedicated group of people working out of a small unit in a big city. We’ve been here at Tanjan Food Products for a while now and know the area well.
