Tanish Ceramic

Our shop is at number 7 in Jogeshwari West, not too far from the Raigad Military School. We deal with ceramics and tiles, so there are heavy crates and samples all over the floor. It is a dusty kind of business because we are always moving stone and clay pieces around. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be careful where we walk so we don't trip over a stack of floor tiles. We see a lot of people coming in who are fixing up their bathrooms or kitchens. Most of our day is spent showing people the difference between one finish and another. We aren't designers, we just know what we have in stock and what works for most houses around here. The school nearby means there is a lot of activity in the mornings and afternoons when the kids are around. Sometimes we are out back unloading a truck, which is hard work in the heat. We don't have any polished sales pitches; we just tell people the price and how many boxes we have left. The office part is just a small desk in the corner with a calculator and some old ledgers that have been there forever. It is a straightforward business where we focus on the materials we have. We’ve been part of the Jogeshwari community for a bit and know many of the local contractors who stop by for their daily supplies.
