Rajlaxmi Oil Industries

Rajlaxmi Oil Industries is located in Turakabad, which is part of the Gangapur Taluka. We are right in the heart of the village area, and you can usually smell the oil long before you see the building. It’s a very rural setting, which makes sense for what we do. The industry is housed in a sturdy building that’s seen a lot of use over the years. We process oil here, so the machines are big and they make a lot of noise when they are running. It’s a messy job. There is oil on the floors and the smell stays in your clothes even after you go home. We work according to the seasons and what the local farmers are bringing in. Our day starts early, often before the sun is fully up, to get the machines warmed up and ready. We have a small group of workers from the surrounding area who have been with us for a long time. We don't have a corporate office or a sales department. We just deal directly with the people who need our product. It’s a very direct way of doing business. Sometimes the machinery breaks and we have to spend the whole afternoon getting it back online with greasy hands and a lot of frustration. That’s just life in an oil mill. We’re proud to be part of the Turakabad community and to keep this local industry going as best as we can.
