Swaad Refreshment

We are over at Juhu Chembur Colony and we go by Swaad Refreshment. It’s a bit of a local spot for people living around here. We aren't doing anything fancy or high-end. Mostly we just serve snacks and tea and things like that to help people get through their day. The colony is a quiet enough place compared to the main roads. You get to know people’s names and what they usually order without them even having to say it. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We keep the place tidy but it definitely looks like a lived-in shop. There are crates stacked in the corner and the kettle is usually whistling. We started Swaad Refreshment because we wanted something of our own. It’s hard work, especially the early mornings when you have to get everything ready before the first person walks in. We don't have any big advertisements. Just a sign outside. People find us because they live nearby or they're visiting someone in the colony. Juhu Chembur Colony is where we spend all our time. Sometimes we close up early if things are too slow, or stay late if there's a group of people talking. We don't have a strict corporate schedule. It’s just a neighborhood place. We try to make sure the food tastes like it should and that the tea is hot.
