We are over at 301 Kamla Tower, which is right in the 1st Gaothan area of Mumbai. If you know Mumbai, you know how these Gaothan areas are—very local and tucked away. It’s 400 058 for the pin code. Svk Electronics is a small operation, mostly just a few of us handling the electronics work that comes in. The building itself, Kamla Tower, has seen better days, but it’s sturdy and gets the job done. Being on the third floor means we get a bit of a breeze sometimes, which is a relief from the Mumbai humidity. There are always boxes of parts and wires lying around because that’s just the nature of what we do. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy reception desks or people in suits. We are usually in our work clothes, fixing things or looking at circuits under the lights. The 1st Gaothan area has its own charm, with narrow lanes and a lot of small businesses like ours. Sometimes the traffic outside can be a headache, but once you are up in the office, it’s a bit quieter. We’ve been here for a while and the locals know where to find us if they need anything electronic looked at. It’s just a regular Mumbai workspace where we try to stay busy and keep things moving. We aren't doing anything world-changing, just fixing boards and helping people out with their gear.
