Our office is over in the Fort area of Mumbai, which is always a bit of a mess with all the people and the old buildings. We are on the second floor of Jeevan Jyot, specifically in C-Ii. If you’ve ever walked down Cawasji Patel Street, you know it’s tight and full of history. The building itself is one of those old Mumbai structures with high ceilings and a narrow staircase that makes you huff a bit by the time you reach the second floor. Supreme India International has been operating from here for a long while. We deal with international trade and various bits of business that involve a lot of shouting on the phone and even more emails. It’s not the quietest office because the street noise comes right through the windows. We have stacks of files everywhere and the air conditioner usually struggles against the Mumbai humidity. It’s a very practical space. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. People come here to talk business and then they head back out into the Fort traffic. It’s a busy life, but it suits us. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of this part of town. Most of our day is spent navigating regulations and shipping schedules. It's a lot of detail work that keeps us at our desks until late most evenings. We just keep moving forward, one day at a time, right here in the heart of the city.
