Super Stone & Marble Co

Super Stone & Marble Co is situated at units 1 and 2 on Paud Road in Andheri West. We are right across from Wadia School, so we hear the school bell and the kids playing every day. Our place is full of heavy slabs of stone. We have marble from different places and granite that we keep leaning against the walls. It is a very physical business because everything we sell is heavy and hard to move. We spend our time showing people the different colors and patterns in the rock. Sometimes we have to cut a piece to a specific size, and that creates a lot of white dust that gets everywhere. The shop is more like a warehouse than a store. We don't have air conditioning or fancy lights. We just use the natural light coming in through the front to show the quality of the marble. People from around Andheri West come to us when they are fixing up their kitchens or bathrooms. We've been on Paud Road for a long time, so most of the locals know where to find us. We don't do much marketing; we just rely on people seeing our stock as they walk past the school. Moving stone is hard on the back, but it is what we have been doing for years. We just focus on the slabs and making sure the customers get the piece they picked out. It is a simple, honest way to make a living.
