You can find Star Tiles & Marbles Co. right in the middle of everything at the Raja Bahadur Building. We are in Shop No.11 at 103-A. If you know Maulana Azad Road and Duncan Road, you know how busy it gets around here. It’s a lot of traffic and noise, but we’ve been in this spot for quite some time. The shop isn't huge, but we pack it full of whatever tiles and marble pieces we can get our hands on. It’s a bit crowded inside sometimes with all the samples leaning against the walls. We spend our mornings checking the stock and seeing what needs to be moved. People walk in off the street all day long, mostly just looking for something that fits their home. We don't do much advertising; people just know we're here. Sometimes we're busy hauling boxes out to someone’s truck or chatting with the neighbors. It’s a tight-knit spot on Duncan Road. We try to keep things organized, but when a new shipment comes in, the place gets a little messy for a day or two. That’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with heavy stone. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It's just us in the shop, answering the phone and showing people the different patterns. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going. It’s a decent way to make a living, right here in the heart of the city.
