Sound Spirit

Our place is at Arisa Mahal, number 8, right on Walkeshwar Road. Being in Malabar Hill sounds fancy to some, but our day-to-day is pretty ordinary. The building is one of those older residential-style structures that has been around for quite some time. We’re located in a spot that gets a fair amount of breeze from the sea if the windows are open, which is nice when it’s hot. Most days, we are just busy managing things from the desks. The walk up to the building can be a bit steep because of the hill, but you get used to it after a week or so. There isn’t much parking around here, so we usually tell people to keep that in mind. Inside Sound Spirit, it’s mostly just us working through tasks. We don’t have those modern glass partitions or anything. It feels more like a home that turned into an office over the years. We know the neighbors, and we know which small shops nearby sell the best snacks for the afternoon slump. It’s a quiet area compared to the rest of Mumbai, which helps us focus. Sometimes the monkeys from the nearby trees come onto the balconies, which is always a bit of a distraction. It's just a regular office in a nice part of town, nothing more than that. It’s a simple setup for a local team and we like it.
