Sirajahmed Shaikh

This is just our small space on Maulana Azad Road in Mumbai. We are in the Green Building, Room 10 on the first floor. If you know Jacob Circle, you know how busy it gets around here. The traffic noise is constant but you get used to it after a week or two. The stairs in the building are a bit narrow, so carrying big things up to the first floor is always a bit of a chore. Sirajahmed Shaikh is the name on the door. It’s a simple setup we’ve got. We don't have any fancy decorations or air conditioning that works all the time. Just some old fans and plenty of files. Being in 43D means we are right in the middle of everything. It’s convenient for getting around the city, even if the building is a bit old now. We start our day early before the heat really kicks in. Usually, someone is always here till late evening. It’s not a corporate office with a receptionist. You just walk in and talk to whoever is sitting there. We handle our own calls and manage the paperwork ourselves. Sometimes the tea stall downstairs is the best part of the day. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don’t have a big marketing plan. We just stay here and do what we need to do for the people who come by looking for Sirajahmed Shaikh. It is what it is.
