Our office is located in Parani Apartment over in Mahim East. It is near the Palwadi area, which is a bit of a mix of old buildings and narrow streets. We are in unit 408. It’s a consulting business, but we don’t have a flashy glass-and-steel office. Instead, we work out of this apartment building. It’s mostly desks, computers, and a lot of files piled up. We spend our days looking at numbers and writing reports. Sometimes the neighbor's dog barks or you can hear the kids playing outside, which makes it feel very local. We aren't the type to wear suits every single day unless we have a big meeting. It’s a small team, so we all know each other’s business. We have a small kitchen where we make tea. The lift in the building is a bit small and slow, so we often take the stairs if we are in a hurry. Mahim is a central spot, so getting around the city from here isn't too bad. We just do our work, talk to our clients on the phone, and try to keep up with the deadlines. It is a quiet, steady sort of place where the focus is just on the tasks at hand. There is a lot of paperwork to go through most weeks, and the office gets a bit dusty with all the old files. We just keep plugging away at the work.
