Getting up before the sun is part of the job here at Shruti Newspaper Agency. We are located over in Mhatre Wadi, Phase IV, which is a quiet enough spot until the delivery trucks start arriving. Being near Veer Sambhaji CHS makes it easy for us to reach a lot of people in the neighborhood. We handle both the morning papers and the advertising side of things. It’s a mix of physical work with the bundles and then sitting down to figure out where the ads should go in the local sheets. The office is usually a bit messy with paper scraps and coffee cups because we start so early. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us making sure your morning news gets to your door and your local notices get printed where they need to be. Some days are more frantic than others, especially when there’s a big event or a holiday and everyone wants their stuff seen. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot from our spot in Mhatre Wadi. New buildings go up, but people still want their news. We keep things simple and just focus on the task at hand. It’s a local business through and through. We know most of the people around here by name, and they know where to find us if they need a paper or want to run a small ad in the newspaper.
