Shrushti Clinic

Down here at Shrushti Clinic, we are tucked away in Flat No.301 of the Sai Sainik Apartments. Finding us isn't too hard if you just look for the fish market in Malad East. We are right beside it, so you might catch the smell of the morning catch if the wind blows the right way. It’s a busy little corner of the world. Being on the third floor means people have to take the lift or the stairs, and sometimes the lift is a bit slow, but everyone gets up here eventually. The apartment building has its own rhythm with neighbors coming and going all the time. We aren’t some big, shiny medical center. It’s just a flat that we turned into a clinic because that is what was available in this part of Malad. It feels more like a home than an office sometimes. We have the usual chairs and a desk, and we spend most of our day talking to people from the neighborhood. Some days are slow and we just sit and listen to the noise from the market outside, and other days the waiting room is packed with people sitting quite close together. We don't have any fancy music playing or anything like that. It’s just us here, doing the regular work that needs doing. It can get a bit loud outside during the market hours, but you get used to it after a week or two.
