Shree Sitaram Marble

We've been here on Marve Road for a good while now. The shop is right near the Rathodi Bus Stop in the Rajput Marble Market. It's usually busy around here with trucks coming and going. We mostly deal with marble slabs. Sometimes people come in knowing exactly what they want for their floors, and other times they just stare at the stacks for an hour. It’s a lot of heavy lifting. My back usually feels it by the end of the day. We try to keep things organized, but in a marble yard, there is always a bit of dust. It's just how it is. We have different kinds of stones piled up. Some are white, some have veins, some are from far away. People from all over Malad West stop by. Usually, they are renovating a kitchen or fixing up a bathroom. We just show them what’s in stock. If we have it, we tell them. If we don’t, we don’t. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We don't spend much time on fancy office work. Most of our time is spent out there on Plot No. 5. You get used to the noise of the traffic and the cutters. It’s not a quiet place, but it's where we work. Sometimes the weather makes it tough, especially when it rains heavy and things get muddy in the market. But we show up every morning and get to it.
