Our office is located in Shakti Apartments, specifically at A-7 on C.G. Road. It is a busy part of the city, and things are always moving fast outside our door. We have been operating as Shree Ram Granimarmo for a while, focusing on the supply side of things with granite and marble. Being in an apartment building means it is a bit quieter than a big warehouse, but the phone still rings plenty. We spend our hours talking to suppliers and trying to figure out the logistics of getting heavy stone from one place to another. There is usually a lot of paperwork on the desk and samples leaning against the walls. We take our tea breaks when we can get them. C.G. Road can get very loud with the traffic, but inside we just focus on the orders we have to fill. It is a simple setup we have here. We don’t go in for anything flashy. Most of our day is spent making calls and checking on shipments. Sometimes people come by to see the samples in person. We show them what we have and explain how the different stones behave. It’s practical work. It isn't always glamorous, dealing with the weight and the transport issues, but it is what we know. We have been doing this long enough that we don't really think about it anymore, we just get on with the daily tasks.
