Our office for Shah Granites Pvt Ltd is located in Kandivali, Mumbai, specifically at Flat No. 13 in the Nalanda CHS Ltd. It’s over in Charkop, Plot 221 on Rdp 5. Working out of a residential society like this gives the business a very different feel than being in an industrial area. It’s a bit quieter, which is nice when we need to sit down and figure out the logistics for stone deliveries. We’ve been here in Maharashtra for some time, navigating the busy streets and the constant hum of the city. Since we deal with granite, most of the actual stone is kept elsewhere, but this is where the planning happens. The office is just a regular flat converted into a workspace. It’s got a kitchen where we make tea and a few rooms filled with desks and samples. It’s not trying to impress anyone with modern art or expensive furniture. We just need a place to talk to clients and manage the books. Charkop is a nice area, and we’ve gotten to know the other people in the building. It’s a very grounded way to run things. We don't have a big corporate structure; it’s just a few of us making sure everything runs smoothly. Sometimes we have to deal with the usual society issues or parking troubles, but that’s just life in Mumbai. We like the local vibe and being close to where things are happening in Kandivali.
