Shah Eye Clinic & Microsurgery Centre

Our place is in the Parimal Building, Block 104, right on Daftary Road. Malad East is always crowded, so getting here can be a bit of a trek depending on the traffic. We have got the microsurgery setup here, which means we handle the more delicate stuff besides just basic eye exams. It is a bit clinical-looking inside with white walls and bright lights, but we try to keep it friendly enough. The staff has been here for years and we pretty much know how each other works without having to talk much. We see a lot of elderly folks from the neighborhood. They usually come in early. The machines we use for the surgeries are tucked away in the back rooms. We spend a lot of time cleaning lenses and making sure everything is prepped. It is quiet in the back but the front can get hectic when the phone starts ringing off the hook. Daftary Road has changed a lot since we opened, but we are still in the same spot. We do not really do much advertising; people just find us or hear about us from their neighbors. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, but the stairs are not too bad since we are on the first floor. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure people can see better when they leave. It is a job like any other, just with more microscopes. (249 words)
