Scientific Industries

Our spot is number 27 inside the Shivkrupa Industrial Estate. It’s tucked away on L.B.S. Marg in Vikroli West, which means it’s always a bit of a journey to get here with the traffic. The estate is one of those older places where everyone knows their neighbors. Scientific Industries has been operating out of this unit for a long time. It’s a bit cramped inside because we have a lot of specialized equipment and workbenches taking up the space. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re more focused on the precision work on the tables. It’s fairly quiet inside despite the noise from the main road outside. We do a lot of small-scale manufacturing and testing things. You’ll see a lot of glass tubes and metal components lying around. Usually, there’s someone at the back bench working under a bright lamp. We don't have a big sign out front, just the number and the name on the door. It’s the kind of place where you have to watch your step so you don’t trip over a crate. We stay busy with the local orders mostly. Lunch is usually someone bringing in dabbas and we all eat together in the small space near the window. It’s a simple life here in Vikroli, just getting the work out the door on time and making sure the measurements are exactly right for the customers.
