Our workshop is located on the 2nd floor of Linkway Estate, which is part of the Sanghavi Estate on Govandi Station Road in Malad West. It’s a bit of a trek to get up here, but once you’re in, it’s a world of metal and movement. The address sounds complicated, but we’ve been at 214 Malad West for a long time now. The sound of automatic machine tools is constant from the moment we flip the breakers in the morning. It’s a steady rhythm that you just get used to after a while. We don't have a lot of space for anything that isn't essential. Every corner of the floor is filled with machines, tool racks, or bins of finished parts. Being on the second floor means we have to be careful about how we move things in and out. There’s a lot of coordination involved when a new machine arrives or a big shipment needs to go down. Malad West is always buzzing, and the energy from Govandi Station Road definitely bleeds into our workday. We take our breaks near the windows where we can see the trains and the crowds. It’s not a fancy corporate office with carpets and quiet hallways. It’s a place where things are made, and that means there’s oil on the floor and noise in the air. We’re just a group of people who enjoy the mechanical side of things and making sure the machines keep running.
