Saroj Marble

Our shop is right in the Rajput Marble Market, which is part of the Welfare Association at Plot No 12/B-1. We are located on Marve Road in Malad West, right across from the Rathodi Bus Stop and near that Bageecha Restaurant everyone knows. It’s a very busy area, especially with the buses coming and going all day. There is a lot of noise from the traffic, but we are used to it by now. We carry a lot of different marbles and people are always coming in to browse the patterns. The market is crowded, so things can get a bit tight when we are trying to load up a customer’s vehicle. We spend a lot of time talking to people who are just starting to build their homes. We show them the different blocks we have and explain how the veins in the marble will look once it's laid out. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving those heavy pieces so people can see the bottom of the pile. We don’t have a big corporate setup, just a local shop in a busy market. We keep the place as clean as you can keep a marble yard, but there’s always some stone dust around. It’s a good spot to be in, right in the heart of the action in Malad. We just do our work and help the people who walk in. There's always someone looking for a specific color for their hall. It's a good community here.
