We are situated right at Rahejas Corner, where Main Avenue meets V.P. Road in Santacruz West. It is a very busy intersection, so there is always a lot of movement outside our windows. This location is where we handle a lot of the administrative side of the tile business. We have rows of desks and plenty of files, and there is usually the sound of someone typing or the printer going off in the corner. Even though we are a bigger name, this office feels like a regular workplace where everyone is just trying to stay on top of their tasks. We get a lot of people walking in who are a bit lost or looking for a different building, so we spend some time giving directions. The air conditioning is usually running because the Mumbai humidity is no joke in this part of town. Lunchtime usually involves people heading out to the local spots nearby or eating at their desks while catching up on the news. We have plenty of tile samples lying around, often being used as coasters for coffee mugs. It is a functional space, and we keep things organized so we can find what we need quickly. The traffic on V.P. Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we often stay a bit later to let the rush pass before heading home ourselves. It is just another day of managing the logistics.
