If you walk past the Sion fish market and look for Joglekar Cottage, that’s where you’ll find our office. It’s a quiet spot tucked away from the main rush of the market. We spend most of our time looking at paperwork and talking to people about their money and loans. It isn’t always easy for people to understand all the forms the banks want, so they come here. We sit down, have some tea, and go through the documents one by one. It’s just how we do things at Sandhanam. My desk is usually covered in folders, and the phone rings quite a bit, especially in the mornings. Being near the market means it’s always lively outside, but once you step into the cottage, it’s a bit calmer. We’ve been helping the local community in Sion for quite some time now. Some people have been coming to us for years, ever since they bought their first homes or started their small businesses. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who know the rules and how to navigate the system. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we stay late when the tax season gets close. It’s just part of the job. We like being in this part of town because everyone knows everyone. It feels more like a community than just a place of business. It can be stressful with deadlines, but we enjoy helping the neighbors out.
