Our place is located in the Mittal Industrial Estate, right in Building Number 6. If you’re familiar with the Andheri Kurla Road, you know how packed it gets around here. We are in Gala No. 148. It’s a typical industrial unit with high ceilings and rows of flooring samples stacked everywhere. The estate is always buzzing with activity, so there is a constant hum of engines and people shouting across the loading bays. Inside, things are a bit more organized, but it’s still a working space. We spend our hours looking at textures and patterns, trying to keep track of what’s in stock. Sometimes the light in the gala isn't the best, so we end up taking samples outside to see the real color. It’s not a polished retail store; it’s where the actual work happens. The staff here has been together for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the fast pace of Andheri East. We take our lunch breaks together when things quiet down for a few minutes. Most customers are architects or contractors who know the estate well and don't mind navigating the narrow lanes to find us. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just look at the floor plans and see which materials fit. It’s a practical way to spend the day in a very busy part of Mumbai. There is always some dust from the warehouse next door floating around.
