Saboo Millstones

Our office is located at 209, Niranjan, 99, Marine Drive, which sounds a lot more glamorous than the work actually is. Saboo Millstones has been around for a long time, and we still handle the kind of things that most people don't think about much anymore. Millstones are heavy, awkward things and moving them around is always a bit of a chore. Even though we are right here by the water in Mumbai, our daily life is mostly about checking orders and making sure the supplies are getting to where they need to be. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees, just a small group of us making sure the business keeps ticking over. Sometimes the breeze from the ocean is nice, but mostly we are just focused on the paperwork and the phones. People use these stones for grinding all sorts of things, and we’ve seen the industry change a lot over the years. We keep things simple here without any of those fancy modern management ideas. If someone needs a stone, they call us, and we figure out how to get it to them. The stairs in this building are old and the office has that specific smell of old paper and city dust. We just show up every morning, do the work that needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down over the drive.
