S N Granites

We are located at number 1 in Andheri East. It’s a place where we keep all the stone slabs and granites. If you come by, you’ll see stacks of heavy stone everywhere. It’s a dusty business, and my clothes are usually covered in a fine grey powder by noon. We spend the day moving these heavy pieces around, which takes a lot of effort and some sturdy machinery. People come here when they are doing up their kitchens or floors. They like to touch the stone and see the patterns in the light. No two pieces are exactly the same, which is what makes it interesting. Andheri East is a hectic place to work, but we are used to the noise and the pace by now. Our office is just a small shack on the side of the yard where we keep the invoices. It gets quite loud when the saws are cutting through the stone. We don't have any fancy displays; you just walk through the rows and look at what we’ve got in stock. Sometimes we have to wait for new shipments to arrive from the quarries, and that can take time. We try to keep a good variety of colors, but it depends on what's available. It’s hard work and it’s tough on the hands. We just focus on getting the slabs loaded up and sent out to the sites. It’s a basic operation, but we've been doing it a long time.
