S. L. Raheja Hospital

S. L. Raheja Hospital sits on Raheja Rugnalaya Marg in Mahim West. It’s a well-known spot in this part of Mumbai. Being in Mahim, we are surrounded by a lot of history and a lot of traffic. The hospital is a big building with many different departments. It can be a bit overwhelming if you’re not used to it. I work here, and even I get turned around in the hallways sometimes. We see hundreds of people every day coming from all over the city, not just Mahim. The lobby is always full of people waiting, and there is a constant sound of names being called over the speakers. It’s a very busy environment. We don’t really do much in the way of fancy talk; we just focus on getting the tasks done. The nurses are always on their feet, and the doctors are moving from one room to the next. Even though it’s a large place, it feels like a community because many of us have worked here for years. You can smell the salt in the air sometimes because we aren’t too far from the coast. The shifts are long and the work is hard, but it’s what we do. We deal with emergencies, routine check-ups, and everything in between. It’s just a massive, moving machine that never really stops, even in the middle of the night.
