Our office is up on the 21st floor of the Oberoi Commerz II building. It is part of the International Business Park in Goregaon East, right off the Western Express Highway. Being in such a tall building means we spend a lot of time waiting for elevators every day. The view from the windows is mostly of other office towers and the busy highway below. We handle the administrative and business side of things here for Roquette in India. It is a typical corporate setting with rows of desks, computers, and a few small meeting rooms. We do not have a factory here; it is all paperwork, emails, and phone calls. The air conditioning is usually running full blast, which makes it feel very different from the heat outside. We have a small kitchen area where people go to get water or make some tea. It is a fast-paced place because everyone is trying to get through their tasks before the evening traffic starts on the highway. We deal with various departments and coordinate with our other locations from this office. It is a clean and professional space, but it can feel a bit repetitive like any other office job. We just focus on our specific roles and try to keep things organized. It is just our daily work life in the middle of a busy city. Most of us take the train to get here.
