Our shop is tucked away at 166/168 Nagadevi Street on the first floor. If you’ve ever been to Nagadevi Street, you know how packed it is. It’s the heart of the hardware district, and every inch of space is used for something. At Roma Pipes & Fittings, we deal with exactly what the name says. The first-floor location means we’re constantly hauling things up and down the stairs. It’s a good workout, though your back might disagree by Friday. We have stacks of pipes and boxes of fittings everywhere you look. It’s a bit of a maze, but we know where everything is. The street below is always loud with carts and people moving goods. We spend our time answering the phone and helping customers who manage to find their way up the stairs. It’s a very old-school way of doing business. We don't have a website or any of that fancy stuff. Most of our deals are done with a handshake and a handwritten bill. We’ve seen the street change over the years, but the demand for good quality fittings never seems to go away. It’s a tight space, and it gets dusty, but it’s our corner of the city. We just keep our heads down and try to get the orders right. It’s not glamorous, but it’s honest work and it keeps us going despite how hectic Nagadevi Street can get.
