Our office is located in the Aashil Construction Building, over in Kidwai Nagar. It’s part of the Tilak Nagar area in Chembur. We’ve been operating from here for a while now. The building is pretty standard for this part of the city. Inside, we have our desks set up to handle all the paperwork that comes with home finance. There are always stacks of files around and people coming in to ask questions about their applications. It can get a bit loud with the phones ringing and everyone talking at once. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a place where the local community comes to sort out their housing money matters. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we take the stairs. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so we see a lot of the same people walking by every day. Working in finance involves a lot of numbers and checking documents over and over. It might seem boring to some, but it’s what we do. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed even when things get busy during the end of the month. There is a small tea stall nearby where we usually take our breaks and talk about something other than work. It’s just a regular office life in Chembur, trying to keep up with the daily grind and helping people with their forms as they come in.
